BSides Iowa 2017 Videos Posted

A quick recap... After a year off, BSides Iowa regrouped with great success and put on a great event! I get to travel all over the US, sometimes beyond, and can tell you few places have surprised me with the quality of infosec talent like Iowa. Being bluntly honest, in my first visit in 2015 I didn't really expect much but went home blown away. I was excited to go back this year and hang with this group again and they didn't disappoint. The SecDSM group put on an awesome CTF and lockpick village along with representation from TOOOL . I rarely get sucked into CTFs, but while editing video I found myself distracted by working with someone sharing the table to crack some of the challenges they were attempting. Congrats on a job well done to the team who put in so much effort to bring the CTF and locksport to the con. SkyDogCon 2016 Video Posted

Don't know about you guys but for us, 2016 was the most incredible SkyDogCon yet! So many awesome talks with so much amazing content as well as an first-of-its-kind electronic badge, CTF, and more. Thank you to all our speakers, sponsors, staff, and volunteers for an awesome job. Can't wait to see you in October 2017 for SkyDogCon#7! "Go hack yourself!" So many awesome talks, though we'd be remiss if we didn't lament on issues with the video rig in Track#2. COMMENTS Too many talks to list them all like usual, so checkout the playlist below. This was the most simultaneous tracks of video I've ever taken on and it wouldn't have been possible without help from James Bower @jamesbower ! In summary, there are 20 posted talks, 2 which weren't recorded/posted, and 1 which was missed due to... IT team implemented a "network hardening" script cause "hackers were coming!" FUNNY STORY About 20 minutes before opening remarks, the Augusta University IT team implemented a "network hardening" script cause "hackers were coming!" It worked! It also knocked out the building's phone system, Crestron automation system (which controls their audio/video systems), and pretty much everything else connected to a switch in that building (PoE & all)! This delayed our setup a good 40min (time spent proving we weren't the cause...) and prevented us getting Track4 setup in time for t...
